Dr Stacey Harris has been my amazing GP for 3 & 1/2 years & has always treated me with kindness, compassion, a willingness to listen & understand my often complex health concerns with a positivity & open-mindedness second to none - regarding any course of treatment or plan for my ongoing medical issues. She has skillfully assisted, coordinated, referred, identified & also advocated for me in times of crisis. Going above & beyond to help, support & reassure me. I am very grateful to her & all the staff at CJMC - nurses & admin too - for their warmth, courtesy, professionalism and commitment to patient care Xx (*A special thank you to Nurse Maryanne for the time, wisdom & attention to detail provided during my recent ‘Care Plan Reassessment’. I had my first consult with Dr Julie and it was wonderful. She made me feel instantly calm and heard. I appreciate her professionalism and prompt action plan in our consult. I have recently moved to Melbourne and didn't know where to look for a Doctor, I just found Camberwell Junction by accident, but I am so grateful my experience was fantastic. Thank-you!

Dr Stacey Harris has been my GP for many years now and I am incredibly thankful for her to patience, care, dedication, understanding, and support in every aspect of my mental and physical health and wellbeing. She respects me for who I am, understands me and my needs, and always knows how to make the smaller challenges turn into positive outcomes. Yes, Dr Harris does run late at the best of times but you know at the same time you are in really good hands because she takes the time to listen to your concerns and offer feedback, support, and the correct treatment/referrals as needed. Thank you Dr Harris for being an integral part of my journey and looking forward to many years to come in good health and wellbeing under your professional care. To Zoe and Belinda (PM) you are both truly lovely people to connect before and after consults. Your warmth, care, and support is one of a kind!

After living overseas for many years I needed a new doctor and saw one at Camberwell Junction Medical. Many doctors with good reviews were not accepting new patients so I just saw one that was available. The doctor sent me to get blood tests & did a Pap Smear which were all standard. I received a call back (not from the doctor) to let me know that I had to go and get more blood drawn because a test had not been done using the blood I had already provided. I was also not contacted about the result of the Pap Smear so I assumed it was normal. I found the whole experience very impersonal and have never felt more neglected & uncared for by a medical professional. I have now found a new doctor at a different medical clinic who is much more caring, empathetic & will communicate directly to me by phone or email. He told me to find out the results of my Pap smear from 2021 (as a normal result means I don’t need a test for 5 years) so I called & was told they simply don’t have a result. They told me to call the National Cancer Registry to find out my Pap result & I was told they did not have any results under my name since 2005. I then called back Camberwell Junction Medical to report that the Cancer Registry has no records since 2005 after which I was put on hold then finally told that the 2021 Pap test yielded a “invalid specimen” result. They could’ve told me this the first time I called. The only way I can express my disappointment with the doctor would be to make an appointment to see her which I will of course not be wasting my money or time on.

What makes us go to see a doctor? To improve one’s health. At Camberwell Junction Medical this is their aim. And carried out aplomb. I have been a patient since the clinic was upstairs in Burke Rd I have always had the best of treatment. And thorough examinations. Any possible issues and off to see a Specialist. The online experience is simple enough even this Luddite can use it. And a big shout out to the face of the clinic, those on reception Dealing face to face with members of the public can’t be easy considering all the dramas I imagine you good people face daily. Fantastic clinic with wonderful caring doctors. There are a couple of doctors that need to work on their “bedside manner”, so to speak, but when you find the right doctor here, you won’t want to go anywhere else. I have been a patient here since I was a child (30-ish years), and still see the same two doctors (depending on who’s available or away). It doesn’t matter how far I might move away, I still make the drive to see my amazing & favourite doctors who have gone above and beyond to help me with all my health issues, so a big thank you to them! In regards to the doctors that need to work on their bedside manner, I had one accuse me of doctor shopping, the only reason I saw her was because both my doctors were away…I don’t agree that you can doctor shop within the same clinic as they all have access to our history. She drilled me so hard that I ended up in tears. I had just lost my Mum and was in the process of coming off a few medications, trying to better myself, but she didn’t show any care or recognition, and when I told her I had just lost my Mum (who was my best friend & hero) she turned it around on herself and proceeded to tell me about the loss of her own mother! I was in utter shock that she thought that that was the best way to handle the situation. The whole experience left me in worse shape than I was when I walked in there and I was quite hysterical and panicked for a few days afterwards. But, I know there are other great doctors in the clinic that I’ve seen over the years and I’m so happy to have two wonderful doctors that almost feel like family.
